WORKSHOP Description:

The Ecstatic Embrace of Shiva and Shakti.

Students will learn how to use hatha yoga techniques as a path to
realizing their full mental, physical and spiritual power. We will
concentrate on demystifying terms and concepts to reveal how an ancient
practice is still modern, relevant and practical to our lives today. We
will also focus on the principal of Shakti and why the ancient teachers
emphasized and embraced the feminine principal as a way of connecting
to our own positive, dynamic, and creative forces.

The Telluride Yoga Festival is a unique event that elivates the
benefits of yoga with a mission to protect our natural environment.
It’s our goal to maintain a “zero waste” festival in an effort to make
our world a little greener. Now you too have the opportunity to use
yoga to help protect the environment.

Committed to the ENVIRONMENT!

Each year, 25% of festival's net proceeds are donated to a local
non-profit whose mission is to help protect and perserve the earth. The
2009 Festival's proceeds were donated to the Telluride Chapter of the
Nature Conservancy. Telluride’s New Community Coalition is the
beneficiary of the 2010 festival.
